Highlights - Clinical Medicine Quiz


There will be two quiz sessions for the delegates. Each quiz will have six teams of three members each. Duration 90 minutes, 5 rounds of audio visual questions with clinical scenario’s. Send names of your teams with age and qualification, teams to be selected on first come first basis, email your team members names on apicon2016sp@gmail.com. Cash prizes of Rs. 20, 15 and 10 thousand for first, second and third positions. Certificate of participation to all teams. Please send your conference registration number along with. Quiz will have audience questions and prizes also. The judges will be past presidents of API or senior teaching professor’s.

Rules of Quiz

  • There would be 3 rounds of 4 questions each for the 6 teams.
  • Each team will be given 30 seconds to answer after projection.
  • Each right answer would be given 10 marks.
  • There is no negative marking.
  • There will be 4th round called as rapid fire round of 4 minutes for each team in which the spotters/ questions would be rapidly projected and for each correct answer 10 marks will be given. If you are not sure about the answer of a particular question you can say PASS and hence save time so that next spotter may be projected. Maximum of 10 spotters are allowed for each team i.e. you can score upto 100 marks in the rapid fire round by answering all projections correct.
  • If a team is not able to answer within the prescribed time of 30 seconds no marks would be given after the bell.
  • There is no buzzer round and no question is transferable.
  • The decision of the Quiz Master who would consult the panel of judges would be final and for unnecessary arguments after final decision 10 marks would deducted by panel of judges.
  • The scores will be announced after each round.
  • Audience is requested to avoid prompting. In case of loud prompting the question would be cancelled.
  • There would be questions for the open house after each round to give relief to the participants. The audience will have to raise hands and the Quiz Master would randomly ask the answers from the audience till a correct answer is given. Those who give correct answers would be given prizes.
  • There are three cash prizes for Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 for first, second and third teams in each Quiz. All the participants would be given participation certificates.
  • Each team should declare leader or else first answer is accepted.
